Fools Gold Hand of Tetsuo

This one of a kind Hand of Tetsuo talisman is set with a raw chunk of Pyrite.

This talisman is inspired by Katsuhiro Otomo the creator of Akira.  A homage to his signature style defined by hyper-detailed urban landscapes, cinematic perspective that revolutionized sci-fi with cyberpunk themes.

In Vol 2 of AKIRA, Tetsuo loses his right arm following this he gains his iconic robotic arm.

The loss of his arm is symbolic of of the catastrophic loss of his humanity. Following themes of failure of technology in the natural world and the dehumanization of systems of oppression.

Pyrite, often called "Fool's Gold," symbolizes wealth, abundance and protection and a strong will power. Its name derives from the Greek word "pyr" (fire), representing intense masculine energy, action, and the manifestation of desires, particularly in business. It is also known as a powerful, grounding stone.
